Introducing Modd Meals exciting collaboration with Calgary based Earthware, a leading provider of reusable containers. In our commitment to sustainability, we are proud to unveil a new local zero waste initiative that incorporates Earthware’s eco-friendly packaging into our services.
We are adding a small $0.50 deposit to all containers. This deposit is fully refundable at participating recycling depots around the city.
Simply return them for a refund just like your bottles and cans!
As part of this initiative, Modd Meals is also introducing reusable bags, a sustainable alternative to traditional packaging.

In one year 450 million single-use takeout containers, plastic and compostable, go into Alberta’s landfill. That’s over 23,275 garbage bags and 209 tons of CO² a day.

Our cleaning process exceeds the standards of washing and sanitization required by health authorities. If a container is not up to the standard of our providers we will replace it with 10 more for free. That’s how confident we are.
